Dr. Raphael Dominick Mkombozi is now specialist for Internal Medicine
In the area of Ifakara there is a serious shortage of doctors.
Ifakara is situated in a nice but remote area. Young doctors prefer work in one of the big cities rather than in this remote area. This is one of the reasons why there is no specialist for Internal Medicine in St. Francis Hospital. Therefore it is all the more enjoyable that Dr. Raphael Dominick Mkombozi has decided to do the tedious training as an Internist and to work in St. Francis Hospital after having finished his studies. The costs are covered by our association and the Irish student organisation UL GIVE from the University of Limerick.

Our scholarship holder achieved his goal.
Dr. Raphael Dominick Mkombozi holds a Master's degree in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from Zhengzhou University in China. He will now return to St. Francis Hospital in Ifakara and work in the Department for Internal Medicine. We are very proud and happy and thank everyone who supported this training.
