A Tyrolean General Practitioner in St. Francis Hospital
12/05 - 27/8/2010
Our member Dr. Franz Josef Wilhelm, General Practitioner in Oetz/Tyrol decided, after his retirement, to offer his experience with accident victims to the patients of St. Francis Hospital.

In a short time of getting settled in at the "outpatient department" he gained considerable insight into the science of tropical diseases, usually mysterious to Europeans.
In the weeks and months to follow Franz Josef was working in theatre 3 where usually patients with accidents are treated. Apart from fractures, also well known in Europe, like arm- and bone fractures, bites of wild animals like crocodiles, hippos and monkeys were a great challenge.
