Training of Hospital personnel
One focus of our activities includes training of members of the Hospital team. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, especially of the Austrian Development Agency and the MPreis Company/Völs Tyrol, four students are on training programs at the moment.
Sr. Sakina Borakupata will become an Anaesthesia Nurse and Dr. Thomas Mwazya an Anaesthesia Specialist. Both of them are beeing trained in KCMC Moshi.
Dr. Ferdinand Njakile (left photo) is to become a specialist for General Medicine and is being trained in KCMC Moshi.
Dr. Marco Mbata is studying at the International Medical and Technological University in Dar es Salaam and will become a Bachelor for Surgery and Internal Medicine.
All students have bound themselves by contract to work in St. Francis Hospital after finishing their studies, an important contribution to mitigate the lack of well trained hospital personnel.
