Water for St. Francis Hospital

5/12/2011
On this day a big project is starting to secure the water supply of St. Francis Hospital
We request everybody to support this urgent project

No sterilisation without water

In the past months and years the situation of water supply in St. Francis Hospital has increasingly deteriorated. Sometimes the water falls short as early as in the afternoon and on many a day water supply breaks down entirely. What this means for a hospital of this size needs no further explanation. The existing plant, built in the fifties, is now old and frail.
Additionally, there are more and more water-consumers, among them the new University with its increasing figures of students and lecturers, the nurses' training school and many other institutions.

One of the two 50.000 liter water tanks under construction (March 2012

Our association has therefore decided to implement a fundamental renovation in order to secure the supply with clean water for at least 10 years.
Structural measures will last about 3 months.
